SUMMARY:HealTAC 2020
DESCRIPTION:We were delighted to announce the 3rd UK healthcare text analytics conference HealTAC 2020 in London\, but given the situation with the corona virus\, we have decided that HealTAC 2020 should be postponed until 2021. This will also include the pre-conference workshop. Instead of the face-to-face event\, this year we are organising an online event on April 23rd - the details are available at http://healtex.org/healtac-2020/.\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\nHealTAC is being established as a forum for the academic\, clinical\, industrial and patient communities to discuss the current state of the art in processing healthcare free text and share experience\, results and challenges. The programme will include keynote talks\, research papers\, discussion panels\, an industry forum\, software demos\, a PhD forum and poster sessions. \n\nHealthcare narrative (such as clinical notes\, discharge letters\, nurse handover notes\, imaging reports\, patients posts on social media or feedback comments\, etc.) has been used as a key communication stream that contains the majority of actionable and contextualised data\, but which – despite being increasingly available in a digital form – is not routinely analysed\, and is rarely integrated with other healthcare data on a large-scale. HealTAC is a multi-disciplinary event\, focusing on many aspects of free-text healthcare data: from technical infrastructures and language processing challenges\, to interpretability and governance\, to the usability and evaluation.\n\nKeynotes will be delivered by Prof Patrich Ruch (HEG / HESSO Geneva and SIB) and Prof Kalina Bontcheva  (University of Sheffield).\n\nMore details are available at http://healtex.org/healtac-2020/.\n\n\nFollow us on #HEALTAC2020. \n
